Here are some reasons, why you should avoid pre-defined design templates.

Easily Recognizable

A website built using a template can be easily picked out from the crowd. There is also a high chance of losing business opportunities because a potential client will go review your website before he could do a business with you. If he/she finds your website to be made out of a template there is a higher chance of losing a client.

Missing Uniqueness

Your website will not stand out from others. You can find many websites using the same template hence, you will feel like your website is missing some uniqueness. They might have changed the content but other things will remain the same.

Not Optimized Graphics

In this generation developing a web design is not enough, your website should speak to the audience visually. When you update some graphics in your website, it attracts the visitors and even SEO will drive some traffics to your website.

Many Templates are Poorly Coded

Poorly coded template causes many issues to your website and could slow down your site, if you are not a programmer then it would be worse to find the error and fix it up. So, don’t depend on a DIY site instead pay a developer to build your brand identity website.

SEO Issue

There is no guarantee that template website will be properly ranked on search engines. If you want to use a template make sure you design a custom logo, update your own meta descriptions and keywords to rank in search engines.

Not Responsive

Common templates are built on specific site size and not according to the screen size. Mobile web browsing has increased in recent times, around 80 percent of the users browse through their smartphones or tablets. Whereas the template will not help the browser to be responsive, so you must not prefer a design template.

Advertisements

The sites from which the templates are taken will gain access to your website. Your website will have their ads such as “Create your website for free today” with the DIY website builder name mentioned on your site, which makes your website look unprofessional and cheap.
