As a marketer, we try to figure out different ways to drive traffic to our website. In this post, I’m going to show you 15 proven ways to increase traffic to your website.

1. Advertise

Social media advertisements are an excellent starting point for attracting visitors and building your brand. Paid advertising in search engines also drives more traffic and conversions on your website.

2. Go Social

Twitter for short headlines, Google+ for personalizing search and Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest for great interaction. This way social media will not fail you in reaching your targets.

3. Attractive Headlines

Headlines are the important part of the content. Without an attractive headline, many deserving contents can remain unread. To attract the right audience through your headline don’t just try to be creative but also make sure that you add the necessary information. Any headline should tell a lot about the content that follows it.

4. On-Page SEO

Give some importance to your on-page SEO which helps search engine to rank your website. Use summarising meta description to your pages or else Google might just use a part of the content of the page as the meta description. Alt text is a must for images so that you have something for the visitors in case the image fails to load. Create internal links within your website which help to boost organic traffic.

5. Use Long-Tail-Keywords

Most of the users search by long tail keywords in the search engine and they occupy the majority of web searches. So, give importance to long tail keywords to increase traffic.
